Randy Roberts

I grew up in the suburbs on the eastside of Indianapolis.  Until I was 7 years old my family was not actively living a Christian life.  There was a young growing church in our community that reached out to my family.  My parents made real commitments to the Lord and their lives were transformed.  My family’s future was changed forever.

     Since becoming a Christian I have had a sense of purpose in my life.  Upon graduation from High School I felt called to attend Kentucky Christian University. At my first breakfast there I met my wife Marita.  We have now been married for, wait a minute I better not say how long, not because I don’t know, but because it would be unfair to date my wife by disclosing that information.  We have three grown children, Ryan, Caesar and Crystal.

     Upon graduation I began my first ministry at the age of 22.  While in full-time ministry I completed my Master’s degree a few years later.  I had three ministries prior to coming to Deer Creek in Kentucky, Oklahoma and Indiana.

     My interests include various sports.  On the question of Cubs or Sox?  It is Sox all the way!  I hate jogging but I make myself do it 2-3 days a week.  My favorite thing to do is sailing.  I would love to sail around the world one day but I don’t have the time or the money.

     Deer Creek’s current relocation plans represent the 4^th building program I have been involved in as a Pastor.  It is an exciting time for any church.  It redefines and renews a congregation in significant ways.  I invite you to join us on this journey.

     My favorite verse of the Bible is Proverbs 27:17, “As Iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another.”
